Sabarot

SABAROT, an historical French family company

The company was set up in 1819 by Jean-Pierre Sabarot, the ancestor of to-day’s President, Antoine Wassner.
Originally a flour milling company, SABAROT has developed its know-how in more recent years to include wild mushrooms, dried vegetables and snails, having been involved from the start in products closed to Nature.

All raw materials are rigorously selected and processed by the most up-to-date methods in our dedicated factories (2 facilities), manufacturing to the highest standards required by to-day’s international market, and meeting a wide range of needs in many different countries. SABAROT’s aim is to provide the best possible quality and service to all our customers both at home and abroad, fulfilling the exacting product and packaging requirements of some of the most demanding major companies in the world.

Today SABAROT has become the leading French producer of wild mushrooms for the consumer trade, catering and industry for frozen, dried, canned wild mushrooms.
The company is also one of France’s leading producers of pulses and cereals, accounting for more than 50 % of the total crop of AOC (controlled origin) Le Puy green lentils and a leading exporter of canned snails.
